  • Matric or Senior Certification equivalent.

  • High level of Computer literacy.

  • Knowledge of all transport modes – Air, Ocean & Road.

  • Good administrative skills.

  • Sound knowledge of Incoterms 2010.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding & Clearing.

Job Overview

  • Compile accurate estimates according to client and agent requirements for all transport modes, including imports and exports.

  • Obtain freight, shipping, and landside charges from global agents and third-party service providers.

  • Ensure all estimate charges align with approved client rates and operational instructions within the system.

  • Conduct continuous quality checks on estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Apply knowledge of customs tariffs, port charges, and logistics costing structures when preparing quotations.

  • Submit estimates to the relevant sales or client service representatives for review before final client submission.

  • Maintain and store approved estimates and supporting documentation electronically within the company system.

  • Provide administrative support related to estimates, pricing, and client requirements.

  • Assist with proposal preparation and pricing submissions.

  • Negotiate competitive global rates with agents, carriers, and third-party suppliers.

  • Maintain and update client rate schedules to ensure pricing accuracy within the system.

  • Communicate updated buy and sell rates to the operations team and relevant stakeholders.

  • Obtain pricing from agents and external suppliers when rates are not readily available on file.

  • Liaise with service providers to secure competitive and cost-effective transport rates.

  • Prepare and complete tender submissions according to client and agent requirements for all transport modes.

  • Negotiate rates with carriers and agents to achieve the best possible pricing while maintaining profitability.

  • Ensure tender submissions are completed accurately and submitted within required deadlines.

  • Follow up on submitted tenders and provide feedback regarding outcomes and opportunities.

  • Attend to estimate, pricing, and rate-related queries promptly and professionally.

  • Communicate all amendments, updates, and query resolutions with the relevant internal and external parties.
