Job Overview

  • Manage the full import process including clearing, forwarding, invoicing, and file administration.

  • Open, register, and maintain shipment files and ensure all required documents are accurate and complete.

  • Request, receive, and verify shipping and customs documentation such as Bills of Lading, permits, certificates, and release documents.

  • Prepare and submit documentation for customs entry processing.

  • Monitor shipment statuses and resolve delays or documentation issues promptly.

  • Coordinate cargo dues, landing orders, and release procedures within required timelines.

  • Ensure accurate invoicing, cost recovery, and rate application.

  • Maintain compliance with customs regulations and other regulatory authorities.

  • Arrange deliveries and monitor container turn-ins and depot requirements.

  • Escalate potential claims, liabilities, or operational risks to management when necessary.

  • Upload and maintain system records, file notes, and supporting documentation throughout the clearing process.

  • Prepare and submit invoices and supporting documents to clients.

  • Provide clients with regular shipment updates and maintain strong customer service standards.

  • Assist with inspections, audits, and departmental support where required.

  • Prepare import estimates, quotations, and cartage rate enquiries.

  • Support management and other departments with operational and project-related tasks.

  • Ensure adherence to company procedures, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
