Minimum Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience within logistics, supply chain, procurement, or a similar expediting environment.

  • Strong understanding of shipping documentation and customs regulations for international shipments is essential.

  • Proficient in SAP and other procurement or supply chain management systems.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

  • Highly organised with strong administrative and coordination skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Overview

  • Monitor and track shipments from origin to final destination, ensuring orders are processed and delivered within required timelines.

  • Confirm purchase orders, delivery schedules, and receipt of goods with suppliers, transport providers, and clients.

  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the timely dispatch and arrival of goods.

  • Maintain and update shipment records, tracking reports, and delivery status information on internal systems.

  • Expedite urgent orders and proactively resolve delays or shipment issues.

  • Communicate with clients regarding shipment progress, delivery schedules, and any changes or delays.

  • Coordinate and ensure completion of customs and shipping documentation for international shipments.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, transporters, and clients to ensure efficient service delivery.

  • Work closely with suppliers to prioritise orders, monitor fulfilment, and confirm delivery dates.

  • Resolve delivery disruptions, shortages, damaged cargo, and shipment discrepancies efficiently.

  • Handle and resolve procurement and logistics-related queries within required timelines.

  • Investigate process delays and operational inefficiencies, recommending corrective actions where necessary.

  • Maintain accurate and auditable documentation in line with company procedures and compliance standards.

  • Prepare and update expediting, tracking, and status reports regularly.

  • Ensure compliance with company quality management, health, safety, and operational procedures.

  • Assist with additional administrative and operational duties as required by management.
