Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in airfreight imports and exports within the freight      forwarding industry.

  • Must have experience handling the full operational process from A–Z.

  • Strong knowledge of airfreight procedures, customs documentation, and Incoterms.

  • Experience working on freight forwarding systems.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Good understanding of airline processes and cargo handling procedures.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Matric certificate required.

  • Relevant freight forwarding or logistics qualification will be advantageous.

Job Overview

  • Handle full airfreight import and export files from A–Z.

  • Coordinate shipments with airlines, agents, transporters, warehouses, and clients.

  • Arrange cargo bookings and monitor shipment movements from origin to final      destination.

  • Prepare and process all relevant import and export documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company procedures.

  • Process cargo releases, framing entries, and customs submissions where applicable.

  • Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to clients and management.

  • Liaise with international agents and service providers regarding shipment      requirements and rates.

  • Handle quotations and costing for airfreight shipments.

  • Ensure accurate invoicing and file profitability.

  • Resolve operational issues, delays, and client queries efficiently.

  • Maintain strong relationships with airlines, transporters, customs officials, and clients.

  • Ensure all shipment deadlines and KPI requirements are achieved.

  • Assist with administrative and reporting functions related to operations.
