Experience
5–8 years’ experience in project management within warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
Demonstrated experience managing facility builds, equipment installations, or major capital projects.
Strong background in process development, optimisation,and lean implementation.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in:
Project Management.
Industrial Engineering.
Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Certifications (Highly Advantageous)
Project Management Certification, such as:
PMP (Project Management Professional)
Lean / Continuous Improvement Certifications, such as:
Lean Practitioner or Lean Leader
Six Sigma Yellow, Green, or Black Belt
Health & Safety Certification (SAMTRAC, NOSA or similar) beneficial.
Technical Background (Preferred)
Knowledge and experience in:
Industrial equipment installation (e.g., conveyor systems).
Warehouse layout design and optimisation.
Construction project lifecycles and site management.
Operational process engineering.
Capex budgeting, procurement, and contractor management.
Additional Requirements
Valid driver’s licence.
Ability to be present on-site at the warehouse or construction site as required.
Job Overview
Project Management - Conveyor System Installation
Lead planning and full lifecycle management of the conveyor system installation project.
Coordinate engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal operational teams.
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines,milestones, and budgets.
Oversee all on‑site installation activities, ensuring safety and operational continuity.
Conduct commissioning, testing, quality assurance, and final handover.
Provide weekly progress reports and risk assessments to leadership.
New Warehouse Build & Relocation
Manage the complete warehouse construction project from inception to go‑live.
Engage architects, contractors, engineers, and regulatory authorities throughout the build.
Lead facility design planning, including layout, workflow, storage design, and machinery needs.
Oversee procurement, contractor performance, and compliance with specifications.
Develop and execute a comprehensive relocation plan for seamless operational transfer.
Ensure adherence to safety regulations, legal requirements, and operational standards.
Maintain strong project governance, documentation, and reporting.
Operational Process Design & Lean Management
Develop and implement operational processes and SOPs for both the current and new warehouse.
Apply lean management principles to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise workflows.
Perform root‑cause analysis and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Support staff training and change management related to new processes.
Establish performance metrics and monitor operational improvements post‑implementation.
Key Deliverables
Fully installed and operational conveyor system within agreed timelines.
Successful completion of the new warehouse build, commissioning, and relocation.
Documented processes, SOPs, and lean operational systems implemented.
